For this project we had the pleasure of joining again our friends at Miopia FX to help them out doing several shots in this really big commercial (the full length version was about 2.30 minutes full of vfx shots). We did the first shot, it’s a full-cg aerial night city zoom out with cars, city lights, Christmas decoration and snow falling. After that we tackled several shots at the end of the movie with the dreamy crystal balls, the big coin-covered sphere and the boy who dissolves in dust. As we had to manage ourselves to work out full shots, we did a bit of everything here, from modeling and texturing to matte painting, lighting and rendering, apart from several particle effects for the balls and the pixie dust on the final shot.
